2309 Sailing on Lake Windermere

This was my first experience of sailing. The boat was a 20ft keel-boat, in other words a boat with a broad keel that was designed to be stable (but not still!) in the water. Although the weather here looks mirky, it was a very pleasant afternoon for being in the water.

0509 River After Dark

My camcorder can record in very low light conditions. It's very easy to get blurred results, though, and I suspect it relies on long expsure to be able to record in semi-darkness.

0209 Mowing Machine

This mowing machine was a bit different; it was skimming water-weed off the canal near to St Augustine's Road, Leicester.

This seems about right for this first day of autumn (by some people's reckoning).
