2406 Buddleia

After carefully cultivating a buddleia bush (butterfly plant) in my garden, I then found that there was a mass of it growing wild not many yards from where I live. What I haven't seen, ironically, is many butterflies.

3003 Wild Flower Meadow

Along the river near to where I live, wild flower meadows are establishing themselves, after the Council removed all that nasty ecology - nettles, willowherb and so on - several years ago. I'll admit it's a lot prettier than it was along there.

1403 Victorian Water Tower

Taken from the new foot/cycle bridge over the river at Abbey Meadows, Leicester. The tower seems to be derelict, but I understand it will form part of the plan for a riverside regeneration.

1602 The Runner

Mercifully, we had, at last, a fine and calm day when the usual population of the riverside came back; joggers, cyclists, dog walkers, and families out for a stroll.

It was a very wet and windy day, where some parts of the UK had hurricane force winds. It was not quite so dramatic here, just rather rough!
